I realize this is an autograph blog, but since the IP hounding and TTM responses have slowed to a crawl, I think it's okay to make an exception.
Earlier this past year, I got hooked on a brand new TV show on NBC, "Do No Harm". It's one of those "doctor dramas" with a modern-day Jekyll and Hyde spin. Last night (Saturday) was the series finale. For the record, NBC pulled the plug on this show after two episodes (poor ratings). NBC has been kind enough to burn off the season and air the remaining episodes. If you haven't seen the finale, read no further. Spoiler alert! If you've seen the show or you don't care if you read any spoilers, continue on. Still there? Ok. Since the writers of the show probably envisioned a second season, you can probably expect season 1 to end with a few cliffhangers and unanswered questions. Unfortunately, the show was canceled. Here are my thoughts as to what would happen in season 2: #1. The chip implanted into Jason/Ian's brain doesn't work, and Jason doesn't "die". It wouldn't be a Jekyll and Hyde story with Jekyll (Jason) out of the picture, right? Likewise with Ian (Hyde). #2. The show has established that Jason is in fact the "alter", not Ian. I think that Ian allowed his alter to stick around, earn an MD, and work on the "kill" drug for his (Ian's) benefit (to ultimately get rid of Jason). #3. Dr. Marcado really was killed by Ian or is in hiding or is being held prisoner somewhere in Jamaica. I have no idea on this one. #4. The two brothers will learn to adapt to their regular mind-switching and co-exist. The premise of the show simply can't do without either one of the major characters. #5. Does Jason/Ian get arrested/in trouble for Dr. Marcado's disappearance? What did Dr. Young tell the authorities? I don't know about this one. Those are my thoughts. For any "Do No Harm" fans out there (and there aren't many of us, I know), what do you think? |
